Windows/PC

  1. To print what's on your computer screen, press the Print Screen key on your keyboard. You won’t see anything happen, but a picture of your screen will be saved to your clipboard. print screen button
  2. In the Windows search box, type paint and select Paint from the menu that appears. print screen button
  3. In the Paint window, click Paste.

  4. In the top-left corner of the Paint window, click Save and save the file to your desktop. print screen button

 

MacOS/Apple

  1. Go to the page on Ancestry where you see the problem.
  2. On your keyboard, press Command + Shift + 3 (at the same time). When you do this, the file will appear on your desktop. print screen button
