1. Open the Ancestry app and sign in. 
2. In the bottom-right corner of your screen, tap DNA.
3. In the top-right corner, tap Traits.
4. Select a trait to read more about it and learn what your genes suggest. 
   Remember, what you see in the mirror may be different because many genes and other factors, like the environment, often influence traits.    

Modifying trait-comparing settings

Control whether your DNA matches can see and compare your traits.
 

1. Tap your profile icon (photo or letters) in the top-left corner of your screen.
2. Scroll to the Manage DNA test section and tap the gear icon next to your name.
3. Scroll to the Visibility section, and tap Compare traits.
4. Choose whether your DNA matches can see and compare your traits by toggling the switch to “on/off” (iOS) or “yes/no” (Android).    
5. Tap Save.
