To provide the best experience for everyone, we're gradually rolling out our new iMemories by Ancestry service. It may be available for immediate purchase or show a waitlist option. Requirements for iMemories by Ancestry
To use iMemories by Ancestry, you’ll need:
- An Ancestry account. If you don’t have one, you can create a free Ancestry account.
How to purchase
- Go to https://www.ancestry.com/c/iMemories.
- Click Buy now to add an iMemories by Ancestry kit to your cart.
- If you see a waitlist option instead, click Join the waitlist, and we’ll email you when iMemories by Ancestry is available for purchase.
- Review your order summary.
- You can purchase 1 kit per transaction. To buy more than 1, place separate orders.
- To remove iMemories by Ancestry from your cart, click the trash can icon.
- Select a payment method and enter your billing information.
- If the shipping and billing addresses are different, uncheck the box next to Shipping address same as billing and enter the shipping address.
- Kits can’t be shipped internationally, but your billing address can be in any country.
- To send kits to different addresses, place separate orders.
- Kits can be shipped to someone else, but they will stay tied to the purchaser’s account and can’t be transferred. All digitized media is delivered to the purchaser’s account.
- Click Proceed to checkout.
- If asked, review and confirm your address.
- Click Place order.
Once shipped, your iMemories by Ancestry kit should arrive within 7-10 business days.

How many iMemories by Ancestry kits can I buy at once?
You can buy 1 iMemories by Ancestry kit per transaction. To buy more than 1, place separate orders.
Can I buy AncestryDNA kits and iMemories by Ancestry kits together?
No. AncestryDNA kits and iMemories by Ancestry kits can’t be purchased together in the same order, but they can be purchased separately and shipped to the same address.
Can I give an iMemories by Ancestry kit as a gift?
No. iMemories by Ancestry kits aren't available as gifts at this time.
Kits are tied to the purchaser’s account, and all digitized media is delivered to that account.
Can I ship an iMemories by Ancestry kit to someone else?
Yes. You can ship the kit to someone else, but it will stay tied to the purchaser’s account and can't be transferred. All digitized media will be delivered to the purchaser’s account.
Can I ship an iMemories by Ancestry kit to another country?
No. iMemories by Ancestry is only currently available in the United States. Kits cannot be shipped internationally, though the billing address may be in any country.
How much is shipping and how long does it take?
The cost of sending the kit to you and the shipment of your media back to Ancestry for digitization is included in the price of the kit. Return shipping of your original items is not included and will be billed separately. The return shipping cost is calculated based on the total weight of your kit and is shown during quote review before you pay for digitization.
All shipping uses standard shipping speeds. Expedited shipping is not currently available.
