Sending or posting a referral

1. Go to our Refer a Friend page.
2. Enter your email address.
3. Copy and share your unique link via email, text, or social media. 

General exclusions & restrictions

• ​​The Referred Customer completed the purchase of one Ancestry.c​om subscription using the Referrer’s Personal Link within 12 months of receiving Referrer’s Personal Link. If a Referred Customer purchases an Ancestry.c​om subscription using any other link or method, or purchases an Ancestry.c​om subscription more than 12 months after receiving Referrer’s Personal Link, the purchase will not qualify as a Qualified Referral and the Referrer will not earn a Reward.
• If the referred customer returns or cancels the membership for a refund, the referrer will not earn a reward.
• The referred customer cannot be an active Ancestry subscriber.
• Only one qualified referral can be earned for each referred customer.
• If someone purchases an Ancestry membership using your referral link, you should receive an email within 30 to 45 days that contains instructions for redeeming your Amazon award.

What if someone uses a referral link during a sale?
They'll receive 30% off the full price (not off the sale price) of their first monthly membership payment.

What email address will my reward be sent to? 
Your Amazon reward will be sent to the email address you provided when sharing the referral.

Why didn't I get a reward email?
If you share your referral link and no one uses it to purchase a membership, you won't receive a reward. If someone new to Ancestry memberships used your referral link to purchase an Ancestry membership, it can take up to 45 days for your reward email to arrive. Lastly, if the person you shared with cancels and obtains a refund for their membership, you will not receive a reward. If it's been more than 45 days, please contact us.
