- contact Ancestry, whether by live agent chat, email, or phone, the content of your communications will be processed by AI to help us better understand our users and their interactions with our Member Services team to provide you with the best assistance.
Does Ancestry Member Services use third-party Generative AI tools?
Yes, Ancestry Member Services uses third-party tools to power its AI and provides information to such third parties who facilitate our operations and perform services on our behalf. Ancestry vets any such tools and providers to ensure that they are appropriate and that your rights to privacy are respected at all times.
Is my personal data used to train third-party Generative AI models?
No. Ancestry Member Services does not use your personal data collected in connection with your interactions with Member Services to train our third-party vendors’ models. Some data may be used to train models for Ancestry use only, though Ancestry Member Services does not use sensitive data (such as credit card information) for these purposes.
